Melbourne Uni Rugby is the oldest club in Victoria, founded in 1909 and the only foundation club still remaining within Rugby Victoria.
MURFC competes in the highest level of the Victorian State Club Rugby Union Competitions.
MURFC is associated with University of Melbourne, but are a standalone club.
We welcome all players, students and non-students, coaches, and their families to the club.
We are an inclusive rugby club, and actively recognise and support Pride Round and NAIDOC Day.
We strive to create a welcoming, safe and respectful environment for all.

Melbourne University Rugby Football Club proudly acknowledges the the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong peoples as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which our Club sits and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
We recognise the unique place held by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the original owners and custodians of the lands and waterways across the Australian continent, with histories of continuous connection dating back more than 60,000 years. We also acknowledge their enduring cultural practices of caring for Country.
