BLK Dewar Shield action returned over the weekend, featuring two Melbourne Rebels players. Check out their performances below in Round 8:
Hunter Paisami (Harlequins)
Paisami provided his usual strong carries around the park as well as bruising, determined defence at right centre. Overall, played a very strong part of a convincing 40-12 win against Footscray.
Kiti Ratu (Box Hill)
Ratu played his first game of Dewar Shield for the year. He came on in the second half and had an immediate impact, displaying that elusive ball running and scoring a long-range solo try. Ratu showed leadership and communication in the backline in Box Hill’s crucial 38-17 victory over Melbourne University.

Melbourne University Rugby Football Club (MURFC) is a foundation Club of the Victorian Rugby Union and has been an active participant since 1909 in the Victorian Premier Division, which is the leading level of rugby in Melbourne. The club consistently fields 3 competitive teams in the Senior Men’s Divisions, a Women’s rugby team, a Colts (U21) team and an over 35’s “Gents” social team.
