Women’s Rugby in Australia is continuing to grow and it’s never been a better time for women to get involved in the game. Melbourne Uni Rugby was pleased to enter a Women’s Team in the 2018 AON7s Tournament. The team comprised of athletes from a variety of sporting backgrounds including Touch, Australian Rules Football, Athletics and Netball making up the squad of 24.

MURFC will be entering a XV’s Women’s Team in the Rugby Victoria Lindroth Cup 2019 competition.

All women are welcome!! No experience needed – come join in the fun, get fit, try something new and make some lifelong friends!

The MURFC Clubhouse includes purpose-built change rooms, a club room with Foxtel on the big screen and regular social activities.

All our home games are usually accompanied by an event at the clubhouse where players and supporters can get to know each other over a free meal and drinks responsibly served at the bar.

Although rugby is our prime focus, the team’s social side is never to be overlooked!

With regular clubhouse dinners after training on Thursdays, nights out on Saturdays, ladies’ day, wacky fancy dress, an annual multi-stop hydration bus trip, weekends away, annual dinners and tours to Stradbroke Island in Queensland, the social life which comes as a part of being on the Melbourne Uni rugby team is, for many, one of the best things about their university life or general playing experience.

Don’t miss out on the fun. Join the rugby team with the best social club.

You dont have to be a student to join MURFC. The Club has people from all walks of life and welcomes diversity in its playing ranks.

We also offer professional development opportunities for non-students.

Two $1,000 rugby scholarships will be offered for 2011. They are to assist in the educational and career development of MURFC rugby players. Applicants must be studying in 2011 at Melbourne University or any other post-secondary institution. If you are interested, download:
