Men’s Club Captain: Daniel Sanchez
Daniel has been at MURFC since 2012, debuting in Colts and advancing to to play 1st and 2nd Grade rugby. Daniel’s family have a long history with the club, with his father, Tom, having played in the 80s/90s. You’ll also find his mother Angela running around the sidelines at most games. He has achieved Best On Ground in a Colts Grand Final, captained 2nd Grade, and has now stepped into the Club Captain role. He is proud to serve alongside Annie Buntine in a historical year where MURFC, the oldest Victorian rugby club, has appointed both a male and female Club Captain.
Women’s Club Captain: Annie Buntine

Annie has high hopes for women’s rugby at Melbourne University, and wishes to carry on advocating for the club and the sport, whilst chasing her own rugby union dreams.
